The Primary Teaching & Learning Hub, located within The Ellesmere Port Church of England College, encapsulates the Trust’s vision of ‘Social Justice through Excellence in Education’ and promotes the Trust’s unique womb-to-work 0-19 Hub model.

The 0-19 Hub model links together ante-natal and post-natal services for parents with midwives and health visitor services, baby and toddler activities and primary and secondary schools to support families and provide an excellent womb-to-work education.

Pupils from Handforth Grange Primary School, part of the Frank Field Education Trust (FFET), were one of the first schools to experience the Hub’s unique resources including: interactive green screen technology, a relaxing, well-stocked reading area, built-in colour changing LED lighting, practical break-out spaces, direct access to a large outdoor terrace and interactive classroom technology and learning resources.

Pupils also have access to EPC’s wide range of onsite cultural and sporting facilities including: an 11- metre indoor rock-climbing wall, a professional 300+ seat theatre with stage lighting, creative DT workshops, science labs, Apple Mac suites, access to music, arts, technology and specialist staff.

“Not only did we benefit from learning in a purpose-built, primary space that the children adored, we were also able to take those first steps into the secondary sphere with the children feeling like the experience was pitched at the perfect level for their learning journey.”
