The Sixth Form is a special place within the College. It offers a unique place to learn and relax within the building but retains an independent and inspirational feel. As soon as you walk into the main entrance through the triple height internal street space, the Senior College is highly visible. A large picture window captures the Sixth Form and music department connected by a bridge with glass balustrades, providing an independent and private access into the college on the second floor.
The Senior College offers a variety of spaces of varying sizes, ranging from glazed seminar rooms, enclosed seminar rooms, a lecture room, café and open plan multi use area. Large floor to ceiling windows to the Senior College make this area distinct from the rest of the College with one bank of rooms looking out to the distant views and to the central courtyard.
The open plan multi-use space also connects directly with both the Sports Hall and Theatre promoting two of the Colleges specialisms. The views into the Sports Hall from high level will offer a unique vantage point and place to study, whilst the access into the theatre at high level to the lighting gantry allows hands on access to the stage equipment to promote a professional experience.
A private roof terrace is provided for the Senior College with views out over the school grounds to the West offering the same independence from the main College. I can guarantee that each and every student in our Sixth Form who takes on responsibility in partnership with our staff will achieve outstanding results and develop into a mature, valuable member of our community.
