In this current half-term, Year 7 form groups took part in a Prayer Space activity on the theme of Aspiration. They were asked about their future hopes and dreams and wrote these on green or orange leaves that were added to the Year 7 Aspire Tree Prayer Space wall.  Students were given opportunity to consider why aspiration is vital and whether God played a part in their aspirations.  The Year 7 Aspire Tree Prayer Space is currently on display in the Chapel.

This event is part of a rolling programme where Prayer Spaces are a vital part of the spiritual life at The Ellesmere Port Church of England College. These events will be take place regularly where students and staff will be encouraged to consider and reflect upon key themes.

Mr Anderson, Chaplain at The Ellesmere Port Church of England College noted that, “Being able to aspire is a key feature of what it means to be human. It was a privilege to share hopes and dreams with the Year 7 form groups considering how these could be realised.

Charlie Sherwood from 7BJE remarked, “It was a great experience to be a part of.”
