We were pleased to welcome Cambridge Road Primary school for a Religious Studies and Christian Ethos adventure last week. On Monday a team our of Ambassadors went to their school and led an interfaith activity and reflection-space to their Year 3 and Year 6’s.
The following days Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 visited us and undertook two different sessions : one on Homelessness and Poverty and the other on the work of Tradecraft in India. These sessions were again led by Ambassadors and staff from Cambridge Road commented at how professionally these were led. Typical comments from their pupils were “We had a great time”, “We really enjoyed thinking about where our clothes come from” and “I loved the potato painting”.
Mr Shelton, Head of Religious Studies at TEPCEC commented, “It was great to have links with Cambridge Road again and be able to create a project which they had requested to help their learning at school. Our Student Ambassadors were excellent role-models and developed their student leadership skills.”
