We are delighted to announce that Ellesmere Port C of E College has been shortlisted for ‘School Library of the Year’ at the Educate Awards 2026!
The Educate Awards are the largest education awards in the North West, celebrating the achievements of schools, colleges, teachers and support staff across the region. Now in their 15th year, the 2026 awards feature 21 categories recognising inspiring practice and achievements across education.
The School Library of the Year category celebrates schools and colleges with outstanding library environments that inspire a love of reading, support learning and create a strong sense of community. Judges consider areas including reading initiatives, the range and diversity of resources, student involvement and how the library supports wider learning and enrichment.
Our library is a vibrant and welcoming space at the heart of school life. It provides students with opportunities to develop a love of reading, discover new interests and enjoy learning beyond the classroom.
We are incredibly proud to see the hard work and dedication of our students, staff and library team recognised through this prestigious shortlist.
The winners will be announced at the Educate Awards ceremony at Liverpool Cathedral on Friday 13 November 2026.
