Dear Parents and Carers

As we approach the end of term and prepare for the Easter break, I wanted to take this opportunity to update you on the wonderful activities that our students have been involved in.

Firstly, I would like to celebrate the outstanding success of our recent production of Matilda. The hard work and dedication of both the cast and crew truly paid off, resulting in a spectacular performance. Our students showcased their talents and brought the story to life in a way that was very impressive.

Additionally, I am excited to inform you that preparations for our upcoming trip to China are well underway. This incredible opportunity will provide our students with a chance to experience a different culture, broaden their horizons, and develop a global perspective. We are thrilled to be able to offer this unique experience to our students.

Furthermore, I am proud to share that our students have been actively involved in various charity work this term. From hamper packing to fundraising events, they have shown great compassion and generosity. It is heart-warming to witness our students making a positive impact in the community and helping those in need.

In addition to these achievements, I am delighted to announce that we have had successful university applications this term. One of our students has received an offer to study at Oxford, and another has been offered a place at Durham. This is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and academic excellence. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and wish them continued success in their future endeavours.

However, it is with mixed emotions that I inform you of two valued members of our school who will be leaving us at Easter.  Mr Loon, Head of Science, has secured his first Senior Leadership Post at a school on the Wirral. We are delighted to see his career progress and wish him the best in his new role. Additionally, Mrs Harrison, who has taught Geography for 38 years, will be retiring. Her dedication and commitment to our students have been truly commendable, and she will be greatly missed. We extend our warmest wishes to her for a long, happy, and healthy retirement.

During the Easter break, we will be running additional sessions for our Year 11 pupils to support them in their upcoming exams. A link to the timetable has been sent out to all parents and pupils, and it can also be found on our school website. We encourage all Year 11 students to take advantage of these sessions to further enhance their knowledge and skills.

Lastly, I would like to remind you that we will return to school on Monday, 15th April. I hope that the Easter break will provide you and your family with a joyous, holy, and peaceful time together and I thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community

Yours sincerely

C Green
