COVID Information for Parents / Carers

On Saturday 27th November, the Prime Minister announced new temporary measures following the emergence of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 in the UK. The new measures will be introduced as a precaution to slow down the spread of the variant while they gather more information.

In school, face coverings will have to be worn by all staff, visitors and pupils in communal areas unless they are exempt. Pupils and staff will also have to continue to wear face coverings on public and dedicated school transport. Please ensure that your child has a suitable face covering from tomorrow.

I would encourage you all to continue to test twice weekly using lateral flow device (LFD) tests. We will also conduct on site testing on our return in January as per government guidance and will send out further information regarding this.

In addition to the face coverings we will continue to minimise the risk for all members of our community in school and encourage everyone to take up the offer of the vaccine, including the booster when offered it.

Thank you for your support with the new measures.

Yours sincerely

Mrs C Green
Principal
