Frank Field Education Trust Awards
We aim to create a culture where pupils and staff flourish in safety and dignity. We have developed a rewards system that recognises pupils positive behaviours at all times.
Our rewards system celebrates positive attitudes to learning and ensures all students have the opportunity to have their efforts and achievements recognised in line with our moral values and LORIC skills. We have a range of ways in which we recognise and celebrate students achievements.
FFET Awards
The FFET awards are our flagship reward and has been created to record and celebrate pupils’ achievements as they journey through the different stages of EPC life. Pupils will have the opportunity to develop their Cultural Capital experiences through Social and Intellectual Capital opportunities. A series of challenges have been devised which pupils are rewarded for upon completion; as well as gaining points through our knowledge rich curriculum, and from their participation in our Be More Curriculum. Pupils will receive an FFET Award at four different levels of challenge in each of the different stages (Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze level).
Our aim is that all children will go for Platinum at every stage.
In each Learning Programme pupils are provided with a series of challenges or opportunities to earn points toward an FFET Award. Every curriculum area sets an FFET award task and promotes it during the learning cycle. Heads of Learning also set a range of challenges within each MFA Cycle. 10 School Synergy points = 1 FFET Award.
In addition to the FFET Awards, we celebrate students achievements and behaviours in the following ways:
- Graduation – pupils whose achieve their FFET Award are invited to attend a ceremony in recognition of their achievements at the end of every term.
- Awards Evening – We also encourage the recognition of sustained achievement and effort by individual pupils through the presentation of a range of awards at the Annual Presentation Evening, where achievements are celebrated in a public forum with parents, staff, governors, and a guest speaker.
- Rewards Assemblies – To celebrate success and reward achievement, pupils will attend a Rewards Assembly at the end of each Learning Programme. This is an important highlight of the calendar for both pupils and their teachers.
