Year 6 to 7 Transition: Welcome to EPC

One of the main purposes of Transition is to start to familiarise yourself the school and the staff that will be working with you and your child.

During the Transition into Year 7, parents and students will be given information about the pastoral support systems in the Academy. You will also be given practical information such as where to find school information, expectations within the College and information about ongoing communication with us.

The Transition process will be complimented by an ‘all you need to know’ guide that will be provided to you on the Induction Evening. This guide should help to answer any questions that you have. It is an invaluable guide for parents which contains important information about all aspects of life here at EPC. It should become your ‘go to’ handbook when you have further questions throughout the year.

We will keep you updated by text, email and letter should the situation change. In the meantime, should you have any questions then please do not hesitate to email us using transition@epcollege.org and we will get back to you as soon as possible with an answer.

To support us with the initial stage of the transition process, we would like:

  • your child to fill in a Pupil questionnaire by Monday 6th May so we can learn a little bit more about them,
  • for you to fill in a Parent questionnaire by Monday 6th May, providing information about your child and also an opportunity for you to ask any questions that you have.
