The Eco Team are proud to announce that our school canteen is moving away from the use of disposable food containers and plastic cutlery.
Currently, all the cutlery used is single use plastic and all the food is served in disposable trays, we are moving forward in our push to become an Eco-friendly school by returning to the use of metal cutlery and serving our food on plates.
We aim to encourage the students to enjoy a sit-down meal with their friends rather than a “grab and go” approach.
The College is also starting a split lunch where KS3 and KS4/5 will be on lunch at separate times, meaning there will be more seating available and less queues, giving our students more time to sit and relax whilst enjoying their lunch.
